Hampton Public School Tour & Tailgate With the Hawks will be held on February 11th from 2-4pm.  Patrons and interested area residents are invited to tour the new facility and participate in tailgate activities to include community fitness memberships and demonstrations of multiple education opportunities.  Contact us for more information - 458 5th St., Hampton, NE 68843 or 402.725.3116, or visit
We are looking forward to the completion of our new facility.  A Grand Opening celebration honoring past players and teams from the 1973 and 1988 state BB championships and the 1973 State FB champions will be held tonight at the conclusion of the varsity girls BB game vs Giltner. Tours of the new facility will be available and refreshments will be served after the boys varsity BB game.  The little cheerleaders will also be performing at half time of the boys game!
The Junior Class will be having a raffle to raise funds for this years post prom.  Thanks to a generous donation from Klute Taxidermy of Lincoln, they will be raffling a one deer shoulder mount - a $500 dollar value.  There are also raffling off Uptown Teez Ladies Hawk and Husker apparel. Raffle tickets will be available at all Hampton home basketball games or can be purchased from Ange Klute 402.631.8719 or Misty Mooney 402.725.3811.  The drawing will be held tonight during halftime of the Giltner BB game.  Tickets are 1 for $3, 2 for $5, and 5 for $10.  You do not need to be present to win.
Nebraska 4H Extension presents “Become a Gardening Guru!”  Hampton Elementary School is hosting a 4-H afterschool club for 3rd-6th graders.  The cost is $20.  It will held on February 13, 15, 20, and 22, from 3:45-4:45 pm at Hampton Elementary.  Please register by February 9th online at or by phone 402.694.6174.  The class is limited to 12 youth.
The Crooked Creek Trap Team is welcoming new and returning members! There will be an informational meeting for any student in grades 6-12 interested in being a part of the team on Sunday, February 11th at 3:00 p.m. The meeting will be held at Crooked Creek Gun Club located 10 miles south of Aurora. Please bring a parent or guardian to the meeting if possible. This organization involves students from Aurora, Giltner, Hampton, Harvard, Henderson and surrounding areas and is an opportunity to participate in a unique and exciting sport. The Hamilton County Spelling Bee will be held on Wednesday, February 21st at 9am at the Hamilton County Fair Grounds in the 4H building.  Students from Hampton Public participating are:  8th Grade - Emma Stump and Thomas Lawson (Clayton Wendt-Alternate), 7th Grade - Isaac Malsbury and Jackson Block (Lillian Dose-Alternate), 6th Grade - Brayden Dose and Hayden Farris (Danielle Dowling-Alternate), 5th Grade - Macy Miller and Koby Bowman (Bryce Joseph-Alternate).  Good luck to all of the participants!
Available to purchase is some new Hawk Gear!  It is a short sleeve purple t-shirt with distressed gold lettering saying HAWK PRIDE.  Sizes YS through Adult 2X are available.  The cost is $13 each.

Jazzercise classes are being held at Hampton High School on Sundays and Mondays at 7:00 PM and Thursdays at 6:30 AM (Note the time change).   Please make plans to join us!
