Trunk or Treat will be held on October 30, 2015 from 4-5:30pm.  Children may line up at St. Peter’s at 3:45pm for a parade to the Trunk or Treat activities.  A sack meal will be served at the Hampton Fire Hall between 4:00 and 5:30pm.   Trunk or Treat is a Halloween event that will be sponsored by the Hampton Community Club.  People gather and park their cars along Main Street.  They open their trunks, or the backs of their vehicles and decorate them.  They pass out candy/small items from their trunks.  The event will provide a safe family environment for trick or treaters.  We are inviting businesses, church groups, schools and individuals to participate.

The Veteran’s Day Program will take place at 10am in the high school gym.  Marlin Seeman will be our guest speaker for the program.  Everyone is invited to attend and all veterans will be recognized.

The Department of Art & Art History is exhibiting the artwork of the best high school artists from southeastern Nebraska.  This is the second year for “Nebraska’s Best” exhibition series.  Last year’s show featured the work of schools in Omaha and Lincoln.  This show is entitled “Nebraska’s Best: High School Artists from Southeast Nebraska”.  We are proud to announce that Courtney Smith is going to be one of the featured artists.  The show will be open to the public from November 6 - 24. The show is located in Richards Hall on the UNL campus.

The Hampton Fitness Center - In cooperation with the Hampton Booster Club, the Hampton Community Club, and the Hamilton Community Foundation, we are pleased to offer the Hampton Fitness Center as a shared facility with the Community of Hampton and Hampton Public School.  The Hampton School District patrons and Hampton community members are welcome to stop by the school and fill out the membership form, pay the $10 annual membership fee and receive their key card to enter the center.  More information is available on the membership form.

The Hampton High School Junior Class is selling raffle tickets for a Daniel Boone WiFi Model grill that comes with a digital WiFi controller, a meat probe, a peaked lid for stand-up chicken/large fowl/ rib racks, a convenience tray with utensil hooks, hard rubber tires, and venturi-style firebox for cyclone combustion.  Ticket prices are: 1 for $5, 3 for $10, and 5 for $15.  Please contact Amy Nissen for tickets at 402-694-9007, or can be purchased at any home game.

Hampton Elementary students will be celebrating Halloween on Friday, October 30th.  Students may bring an appropriate costume (no weapons please) to school with them for our annual parade through the junior high/high school building.  Thank you to families who signed up to assist classroom teachers this year by providing treats.  You may drop items off at the office or send with your son/daughter on Friday. We are looking forward to a SPOOKTACULAR day!
