The Hamilton County Spelling Bee was held on Wednesday, February 10th.  Congratulations to Sarah Logue on her 1st place finish in the 7th grade and 4th place winner overall!  Congratulations to all the participants!!

Parents of students in activities grades 9-12, will be recognized tonight after the girl’s varsity BB game vs. Giltner.  Parents of students will get in free to the game.  As students are recognized for their participation in Fall and Winter activities, parents are asked to please stand.  THANK YOU for allowing us the opportunity to work with your children in the many activities at HPS!!

The Sophomore class will have a Meal Deal this Friday during the Giltner BB games.  They will be serving a runza, chips, a Valentine treat, and water for $6.  $4 for a sandwich only.  Please help support the sophomore class in their efforts to raise money for the Post-Prom Party in 2017!!

The Crooked Creek Trap Team is welcoming new and returning members for their 2016 season!  There will be an informational meeting on Sunday, Feb. 14th at 1pm at the Crooked Creek Gun Club south of Aurora.  Anyone is welcome to attend the informational meeting to learn more about the team.  Our first practice will also be on the 14th following the meeting.

The Hampton Ball Program registration will take place on Sunday, February 21, from 12pm - 2pm at the Hampton Fire Barn.  They also will be having a Skills Clinic.  The date and time for the skills clinic will be announced.  Boys and Girls of all ages are welcome to attend.

PARENT/TEACHER CONFERENCES will be held Wednesday, February 24th from 4:30 - 7pm.  Elementary parents will have individual scheduled times with their son/daughter’s classroom teachers.  If your scheduled time does not work, please contact the classroom teacher by email to reschedule.  All Junior High and High School conferences will be held in the HS gym.  We look forward to seeing you to discuss your child’s academic progress on the 24th!

THANK YOU to all the Hampton patrons who attended the community meeting for phase two of the building renovation process on Monday, February 8th.  We appreciate the 100+ individuals who joined us to hear information on the possible project.  If you were unable to attend, please feel free to call or stop at school to visit.  Mrs. Herzberg’s March article in the community newsletter will have results from the feedback questionnaires.

Hampton Community Members are encouraged to attend an upcoming meeting to review and share new information about phase two of the building project!  The meeting will be held on Monday, February 8th at 7:00 PM in the Hampton High School gym.  All Hampton Community Members are encouraged to attend!  The Hampton Board of Education wants to provide everyone an opportunity to hear about the steps we have taken so far and listen to any questions or concerns prior to the school board making any final decisions on how to proceed.
